The Cabinet Secretary MOA&LD Hon. Mithika Linturi Chaired a consultative meeting on improving the competitiveness of the state-owned sugar mills with members of Parliament from the sugarcane growing regions.

Present in the meeting also was the Agriculture and Food Authority Chairman - Hon. Cornelly Serem, the AG. Director General - Beatrice Nyamwamu and Ag. Director Sugar Directorate - Jude Chesire. The forum brought together critical stakeholders in the sub-sector from the sugar cane growing regions. This is a critical step towards enhancing the sugar industry's performance and competitiveness.
