Led by Raphael Lekolol, the Chairman of Interim Board of Directors, Agriculture and Food Authority, a team of Kenya’s representation to this year’s Global Specialty Coffee Expo toured Starbuck’s Roastery facility in Seattle, Washington State on Tuesday April 18, 2017.

Starbucks, who are co-sponsoring the Specialty Expo with Kenya (the portrait country) has had a longstanding partnership with Kenya’s coffee Industry. The dealer is one of the key buyers of Kenyan coffee in the US.

During the expo that starts on April 19th through 23rd, Starbucks shall be roasting and serving Kenyan Coffee.

As the portrait country, Kenya has unique opportunity to position Kenyan coffee as the best to an audience of over 11,000 global delegates who are expected to attend the expo.

Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary in charge of Agriculture, livestock and Fisheries, Mr. Willy Betty, is expected to officially open the expo.
